Gomez: Mexican Hedwig

Monterrey, Mexico -- Police are investigating allegations that an intense disagreement between rival cliques on an online Madonna message board has led to the genital disfigurement of a male fan hoping to become a full-fledged woman.

Danilo Gomez, 33, filed a complaint with authorities after his male-to-female sex change operation resulted in his having “an abnormally large clitoris.”

"It's like the size of a stunted Colima tamarind!"

Gomez, who posts as “CadereytaTravestida” on the Madonna forum madonnadanceteria.mx, believes that forum members who are violently opposed to his negative opinions of the pop superstar had somehow influenced the undesirable outcome of the operation he has spent many years and enormous amounts of money preparing for.

“I am absolutely certain they had something to do with this,” said Gomez. “They are the kind of people who would go to such lengths.”

Gomez traveled from Cadereyta to Monterrey to undergo the final operation that would transform him into a woman. He said the last thing he remembers was passing out from the anesthesia. When he woke up, his surgeon, Dr. Ruben Menendez, assured him that “the operation went well.”

After weeks of recovery, though, Gomez noticed that he has an abnormally large clitoris. "It's like the size of a stunted Colima tamarind!" said Gomez.

When he confronted his surgeon about it, he was told that “unfortunately, it’s one of the risks of sex change operations.”

“I know he’s lying, I know it. Those putas from Danceteria did this to me, I know it. They bribed my surgeon to turn me into the Mexican Hedwig,” said Gomez, referring to the title character in John Cameron Mitchell's cult movie “Hedwig And The Angry Inch.”

At the present time, Mexican police are unable to press charges because of the difficulty to secure the certainty of Gomez’s allegations.

“We don’t even know where to begin. This is all new to us,” said Sgt. Eduardo Olores. “But Miss CadereytaTravestida can rest assured we will do our best to get to the bottom of this.”
