Lady Gaga: Transylvania's finest
Buoyed by its lingering popularity in Transylvania and some other parts of Europe, Lady Gaga's debut album, "The Fame", is to be re-released worldwide again this summer, Interscope Records' Martin Kierszenbaum has confirmed.
"We are simply thrilled that Lady Gaga continues to capture everyone's attention, so we'd like to strike while the iron is still hot," said Kierszenbaum. It will be the second time in less than a year that the bestselling album will be re-released. The first arrived in November last year, and has effectively kept the pop star on the charts.
Slated for a late summer street date, the new re-release will be called "The Fame: 14:59" and include the same 8-track EP "The Fame Monster" that came with the first re-release as well as a third CD containing a brand new song called "Poker Romance." Kierszenbaum said the new single was inspired by a flirtatious night of gambling that Lady Gaga spent in Atlantic City.
"It's just all kinds of awesome and then some. If you thought 'Poker Face' and 'Bad Romance' were catchy, prepare to have the rug pulled from under you," said Kierszenbaum. The single will be serviced to radio in early June.
According to Kierszenbaum, they considered bundling a copy of one of Lady Gaga's outfits with the new re-release as a bonus incentive to entice fans to buy the album again, but "the plan would have astronomically increased production costs."
As a compromise, the new re-release will instead come with a special paper bag that fans can put over their heads in order to "feel just like Lady Gaga."
"I think it's a good substitute. It's environmentally friendly, and you basically get the same result," said Kierszenbaum.

I really love Lady Gaga with her bizarre costumes but she definitely let herself down this time being seen out in see through underwear.
