Album Title: Hot Rocks 1964-1971

Year of Release: 1971

Performed by: The Rolling Stones

The Bent*Spud 2 Cents:

In just a few short years since forming in 1962, Mick Jagger’s uncommon band of misfits captivated the world with their raw and edgy brand of rock and roll diametrically opposed to most of their contemporaries. Their first greatest hits collection wrangles most of their hits in the 60s and early 70s but misses some in lieu of a few album cuts. Far from comprehensive but it does give one a panoramic, well-rounded impression of the Stones’ musical output during said era.

Best Tracks: “Paint It, Black”, “Brown Sugar,” “As Tears Go By,” “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”
