Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory’s debut release is a dramatic swirl of 60s pop, cabaret and cinematic spy film scores folded into a menacing electronic production imbued with Ms. Goldfrapp’s seductive and sultry vocals.
Sam Hunt returns to the summit with “Body Like A Back Road” (up 8-1). Andrew McMahon and Jens Lekman re-enter in the Top 10 with “Fire Escape” at No. 3 and “What’s That Perfume That You Wear?” at No. 8 respectively. Bleachers debut at No. 9 with their new track “Don’t Take The Money.”
Chris Shiflett zooms 9-1 to top this week’s chart with “Sticks & Stones.” Last week’s champ, Sam Hunt, falls to No. 8 with “Body Like A Back Road.” The chart takes a drastic shakeup this week with 13 tracks debuting, led by Céline Dion & Peabo Bryson at No. 3 with “Beauty And The Beast,” no doubt a result of nostalgia following the release of the live action remake of the classic 1991 Disney film.
The entire Top 4 remains unchanged from last week as Sam Hunt spends a fourth nonconsecutive week in the summit with “Body Like A Back Road.” Chris Shiflett enters the Top 10 with “Sticks & Stones” (up 15-9). Milky Chance and Spoon debut with “Doing Good” at No. 17 and “Hot Thoughts” at No. 21 respectively.
Sam Hunt is on top for a third week with “Body Like A Back Road.” Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness inches up to the runner-up spot with “Fire Escape.” Elsewhere, Chris Shiflett debuts at No. 15 with “Sticks & Stones,” the lead single from his new solo album West Coast Town.
