Disney: A new era dawns.

Los Angeles, CA -- The Walt Disney Company was developing an animated movie set during the Vietnam War that would have portrayed Asians as an evil and dishonorable people that cannot be trusted, an anonymous source has revealed.

Rough drafts and initial storyboards for the movie, which had the working title "101 Damn Asians," were recently discovered during an unplanned inventory of the media empire's film archives from the 1960's and 70's. The materials were found inside unlabeled boxes, hidden under piles of wigs and feather boas.

"First of all, they need to be better organized down there. That whole archive building is a mess," said the source. "And second of all, they did a lousy job of hiding these things, if that's indeed what they were intending to do."

The movie's story line centers on a pubescent American boy named John Wiener, who is searching for his lost pet Jack Russell terrier named Comet in war-torn Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Along the way, he overcomes obstacles presented by the ravages of war and learns valuable life lessons.

It is unclear who spearheaded the movie's development, but some believe it may have been Walt Disney himself. Some of the accompanying documents found show development began as early as June 1963, but no further actions were carried out in relation to the film beyond December 1966. Disney succumbed to lung cancer on the 15th of that month.

Some of the big names mentioned in the documents include Robert De Niro, who was being considered to voice the main character of the movie, and Martin Scorsese, who would have been tapped to direct.

"I'm sure De Niro and Scorsese would have done the movie, had it actually gone to production," said the source. "But it would have also effectively ended their budding careers, if not irreparably damage them. This film is so unrepentantly racist, it would make you sick to your stomach literally. You can just imagine the backlash."

Among the many objectionable scenes planned for the movie is one where an Asian family is seen butchering their own dog and serving its meat at a birthday party. Others show an Asian merchant shortchanging his client and lying about it, and an unshaven Asian man taking unpaid-for merchandise and perusing them openly at a coffee shop inside a book store, despite a clearly conspicuous sign that prohibits such action.

The movie's only sympathetic Asian character is a female teenager named Poo-Won Mi, who is described as flat-chested, loopy, eccentric and possessing greasy hair and bad driving skills. Poo-Won and John cross paths and become friends at a black market.

The Walt Disney Company has yet to issue an official statement regarding the discovery of "101 Damn Asians," which comes just as the company prepares to release its 49th animated movie, "The Princess and the Frog," a fairy tale loosely based on E.D. Baker's novel "The Frog Princess." The film is widely hailed as a turning point in the media empire's animated moviemaking history as it features a black princess for the very first time.

"The Disney people are mum on the issue on purpose. They just want to focus on the present, which is good." said the anonymous source. "I think whatever racist demons Walt Disney had, he took to the grave with him."
