Bedminster, New Jersey — Full time Donald Trump surrogate and occasional New Jersey mom Kellyanne Conway has stepped up efforts to complete her prized fur coat, which only needs about 27 more Dalmatian puppies, much to the consternation of animal rights activists everywhere.
“It’s a ballpark figure, but 27 is about the right number I need to put in the pleats and lapels and trims that I want,” said Conway, who as campaign manager helped steer Trump’s successful conning of America in the recent U.S. presidential election.
Conway said she commissioned the coat the day after Election Day as a “thank you gift to myself.”
“I feel like I deserve it, after putting up with the vile liberal media for days on end during the exhausting campaign period,” she said. “I’m still putting up with them, believe it or not.”
Animal rights activists led by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) roundly denounced Conway’s “selfish display of self-entitlement at the expense of helpless Dalmatian puppies.”
In a press statement, PETA chief Ingrid E. Newkirk called Conway a “horrible woman with a dark, dark soul.”
“Most people would celebrate victorious events in their lives by having a nice dinner at an upscale restaurant, or buying themselves a little something at the mall,” said Newkirk. “Conway is the very epitome of evil excess by choosing to murder innocent puppies to make herself a coat.”
Public calls to stop Conway from completing her fur coat have all fallen on deaf ears. The Dog and Cat Fur Protection Act prohibits dog and cat fur trade in the U.S.
