It’s undeniable that 2016 was a terrible year all around. So many great musicians passed away. Icons like David Bowie, Prince and Leonard Cohen. All taken too soon. And then there’s the matter of *cough* Donald Trump *cough*. But let’s not get into that and ruin our spirit. Instead, let’s look back at the songs that made the last 365 days at least somewhat bearable.
DJ Snake and Justin Bieber’s electronic collaboration, “Let Me Love You,” rises 2-1 this week. It is DJ Snake’s first chart-topper and Bieber’s third. Elsewhere, Wrabel’s “11 Blocks” descends 4 notches to No. 5 after 3 weeks on top.
Wrabel is stationary on top for a third week with “11 Blocks.” DJ Snake and Justin Bieber jump to No. 2 with their collaboration “Let Me Love You” while Saint Motel check into the Top 5 with “Move” (up 13-4). Britney Spears debuts at No. 16 with a brand new track from her just-released 9th album, Glory.
Wrabel remains on top for a second week with “11 Blocks.” Ariana Grande zooms 17-2 with “Into You.” DJ Snake and Justin Bieber debut at No. 10 with their collaboration “Let Me Love You.” Saint Motel return to the countdown with their brand new track, “Move” coming in at No. 13.
After walking around for 7 weeks, Wrabel hits his stride and tops the countdown with “11 Blocks.” Oscar slides to No. 2 with “Sometimes” while Young The Giant sneak back up to No. 3 with “Something To Believe In.” The week’s highest debut belongs to Ariana Grande, who arrives at No. 17 with “Into You.”
